Ust. Zainab grew up in the United Arab Emirates and holds a degree in Psychology & Art History from York University. Since 2013, she has served the GTA Muslim community through Islamic education and youth and children’s programs.

She studied Taleem-ul-Qur’an at Al Huda Institute and Arabic grammar under an instructor from Bayyinah Institute. She is currently enrolled at Qalam Seminary working towards her Alimiyyah Degree and pursuing Hifz of the Qur’an. With over 10 years of experience teaching Qur’an and Islamic Studies at Islamic schools, she is dedicated to nurturing a deeper connection with the Qur’an and Dīn.

She is the Co-Founder and Director of Al Fath Institute, where she teaches Tafsir to sisters and leads community initiatives and halaqahs. Her professional experience includes providing psycho-social support to refugees through the Canadian Red Cross and working as a Case Manager at Nisa Homes. She also leads community initiatives and Tafsir classes through Akhirat ki Tayari (AKT) in Pakistan, bringing her passion for Islamic education and community service to diverse communities.
