Ust. Qasim grew up in the United Arab Emirates and is currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering at McMaster University. He has professional experience in design and project planning, having worked with established civil engineering firms, including Hatch, Aecon, and R.V. Anderson, on various municipal construction projects.

His journey in serving the Deen began in his teenage years, culminating in the completion of his Hifdh of the Qur’an in 2017 at Al Kitab Academy. He studied Arabic under an instructor from Bayyinah Institute and is currently pursuing his Alimiyyah degree at Qalam Seminary, while continuing his study of Fiqh under local scholars.

 

With over 9 years of experience teaching Qur’an, Tajweed, Seerah, and Arabic Grammar at Islamic schools and also serves as an advisor to MACMSA where he conducts halaqahs for brothers.

Ust. Qasim currently serves as Education Manager at Roots Canada, a Friday Khateeb at various masajid across the GTA, and Director at Al Fath Institute. At Al Fath, he oversees curriculum design and development and leads brothers’ Hifdh program, community halaqahs, and educational sessions and is a lead intructor.
